Pixel Music is a unique music sequencer that integrates imagery into the music creation process, offering a novel and creative user experience.
Overview
- Transform pixels into pitch, velocity, and note durations.
- Simultaneously play multiple images in synchronization.
- Select specific parts of an image to play and determine the timing.
- Record your own performance by tapping on the image while playing alongside the sequencer.
Features
- Offers AUv3 support with presets and MIDI compatibility.
- Compatible with Ableton Link for seamless integration.
- Control sequencer timing and configuration for customized compositions.
- Create varied step lengths in patterns with Verses and play them across images.
- Choose data types (RGB, Luminance, Hue, or Saturation) to control pitch, velocity, or note duration from images.
- Select traversal options like Left -> Right, Top -> Down, or Circular with the ability to add randomness in traversal.
- Determine recorded loop length and quantization preferences.
- Includes an internal Synth with delay and reverb effects for enhanced sound manipulation.
- Send MIDI to external synths when used as AUv3, with each added image having a dedicated MIDI channel in the AU host.
- Save and load app states and configurations for convenience.
- Supports dark mode for improved visibility in low-light environments.
AU Hosts Compatibility
- Ideal performance achieved when used with AUM, Audiobus, or ApeMatrix.
- Please note that Pixel Music does not currently support Logic Pro or GarageBand.
